Why this work matters

Outstanda Foundation exists because education and community are deeply connected.

Students need strong fundamentals, but many families cannot afford traditional tutoring or do not know exactly where their child is struggling.

Adults need meaningful connection, but many people lose community as they move through career changes, retirement, family transitions, or simply the pace of modern life.

Our work supports practical solutions that help people keep learning, keep connecting, and keep moving forward.

Why I Started This

A personal note from the founder.

Ron McDaniel

For much of my life, I have worked with students, families, educators, and community leaders. I have taught students from elementary school through college, served in educational leadership roles, and spent years listening to the challenges people face both inside and outside the classroom.

Over time, I kept seeing the same patterns.

Students struggling because they were missing one foundational skill.

Parents wanting to help but not knowing where to start.

Adults feeling increasingly isolated despite being more connected digitally than ever.

And people reaching retirement or major life transitions without the friendships, purpose, and community they needed to thrive.

Rather than simply talk about these challenges, I began building solutions.

Outstanda was created to help students strengthen foundational skills and make learning gaps visible.

OutwardGo was created to help adults build real-world friendships, experiences, and community.

The Outstanda Foundation exists to help expand access to opportunities like these and to support initiatives that help people learn, connect, and live meaningful lives.

I believe learning, community, and purpose are not separate challenges. They are different parts of the same human need to grow and belong.

Every donation helps expand access to educational tools, community experiences, and opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach.
